This analyst report from Nucleus Research assesses the business benefits of cloud solutions for managing the workforce.

  

As the workforce management (WFM) market has evolved over the past decade, cloud applications have gained in popularity over on-premise applications.

 

In its exploration of customers of Ceridian Dayforce, a leading cloud WFM vendor, Nucleus found there were a number of reasons beyond total cost of ownership that drove decision makers to choose cloud applications including increased flexibility, accelerated deployment, and usability.

 

Nucleus Research predicted in 2011 that the cloud would continue to drive down initial and ongoing costs of technology deployments, and that it would also change the pace, tempo, and collaborative style of software development

 

The cloud has also driven significant merger and acquisition activity in the workforce and human capital management (HCM) markets, as traditional vendors have recognized the appeal of cloud-based solutions.

 

In its analysis of Ceridian Dayforce customers, Nucleus identified a number of reasons why WFM decision makers are increasingly looking to the cloud.
