Conseco helps protect thousands of families against major unplanned expenses through health and life insurance policies, and offers annuities to help people plan for retirement. As each new addition took place, IT equipment from the acquired firm's previous location was moved to the main Conseco data center in Carmel, Indiana. The Conseco IT team converted several of its physical servers to virtual servers running on VMware ESX hosts in order to transfer the virtual machines to Carmel electronically.
